"All too often I find I have wandered far from a history of the duchies into a history of FitzChivalry. Because I really loved the first book. ASSASSIN'S APPRENTICE by Robin Hobb is the premier book in a trilogy that turned into a series. Assassin's Apprentice is the first book in the Farseer Trilogy. However, I now have only four more books to go before I catch up to the ones that my friend helpfully lent to me (numbers 8 and 9 in the overall continuity). By the end, I actually found it quite fitting. So I'm hoping desperately that The Farseer Trilogy as a whole doesn't collapse in a similar manner. The Farseer Trilogy: ASSASSIN'S APPRENTICE.
